To make a snow night fx:

First, creat a few textures:

 

Next, use the textures to make three materials: #1Material for large amount of small flakes.

#2 material for gusting wind:

#3 material for strethed, close to camera flakes:

Then, using the materials to make emitters:

the other two emitters are easy:

What I learned:

1. Use ScreenAlignment's PSA_Velocity to stretch particle's size in direction according to the velocity.

2. Use BLEND_Modulate for the snow material so that snow blend to the night scene background.

(PSA_Velocity: This settings causes sprite particles to have their Y axis aligned to the direction of their velocity ad allows for non-uniform scaling of said sprite particles.

The X and Y values of size vectors will control the size of the sprite particles.)
